HOUSE FIRE - October 13, 2004

House on Thais Road on October 13, 2004.  The call came in about 10:30 with Averill Park/Sand Lake Fire Department  and West Sand Lake Fire Department responding.  Averill Park/Sand Lake Car 1 arrived on scene, declared a working fire with fire showing on second floor and heavy smoke throughout, transmitted second alarm for Taborton / Best Luther to cover assignments and then changed for both to respond to scene with manpower.  Hoags Corners Fire Department moved into Averill Park and Wynantskill into West Sand Lake.  Hoags Corners was moved to the scene for manpower.  West Sand Lake finally cleared the scene about 5:00pm.  One firefighter was transported to the hospital for a checkup and released at about the same time that we were clearing the scene. 

During the fire, we also had a car accident at RTE 43 / 150 which Rescue 1 took in since all our apparatus was involved with the fire.
